Students – Take advantage of SWPP while looking for a work placement
Are you a post-secondary education student looking for a work placement? Tell your potential employer about the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP) funding, where employers receive a wage subsidy from the government for providing quality employment to post-secondary education students – a great incentive to hire a student like you!
To be eligible for the SWPP grant, you (the student) must:
- be registered in a post-secondary STEM or business program that includes work placements/internships/practicum
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection given under the law
- be legally able to work in Canada according to the laws and regulations of the province or territory where you live
If you want to find out more about this program, visit the ESDC website at https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/programs/work-integrated-learning.html
or contact CCAA directly with your questions: Kethy Sosso-Kolle, Training Coordinator – email@example.com
Students should only complete this form once they have received a placement offer from a participating employer.
