SWPP for Students

We are open for new application on Feb 13,2023 for April 1,2023 start dates onwards.

Students – Take advantage of SWPP while looking for a work placement

Tell your potential employer about the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP) funding, where employers could receive generous wage subsidies of up to $7,000 for diverse target groups or up to $5,000 for all other students per placement from the government for providing quality employment to post-secondary education students – a great incentive to hire a student like you!

To be eligible for the SWPP funding, you must:

  • Be registered at a Canadian post-secondary education institution.
  • Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act 2. International students, i.e. persons using a Student VISA or work permit, are not eligible for the funding.
  • Be legally able to work in Canada according to the laws and regulations of the province or territory where you live

Student Form

Students should only complete this form if they have been told to do so by a participating SWPP employer.
